How to obtain the edid information of a TV or monitor
For basic edid knowledge, see DDC edid introduction or what's edid ?. This article describes how to use an appropriate tool to obtain the edid information of related devices. For a PC, if an external monitor or TV is connected, the video card driver will read their edid information and parse all the modes it supports. The PC graphics card driver generally has an option similar to "hide the mode not supported by the monitor. If you select it, only the resolution supported by the display or TV is displayed, as shown in 1. The maximum resolution is 1024x768 @ 60Hz.

Otherwise, the maximum resolution is x @ 60Hz, as shown in figure 2.

For some graphics cards, they do not provide the corresponding function of reading edid information and displaying how to operate. How can this problem be solved? The powerful powerscript tool provides this capability. In Figure 1 and figure 2, with its help, we have the ability to further control the reality. We can easily download the corresponding software through the Internet:
1. PowerStrip-English
2. PowerStrip-International
After installation, you can click display profiles in the toolbar to obtain figures 1 and 2. See figure 3.

In addition, if you want to configure the timing of the resolution, you can select "Advanced timing selection...". You can go to figure 1/2.

Powerscript has many powerful functions. I will not introduce them here. If you are interested, you may not download J.
I will write an article on how to create edid information when I have time.
