How to pair an internet cafe fiber optic switch with the distribution frame Port

Many units have a small number of computers. Later, some computers were added to form an inevitable lan. However, when the network was originally set up, the network cable connecting the computer was not identified, or only added 1234, ABCD such as paper labels, easy to present the same phenomenon, for a long time some of the logo will be confused, which brings inconvenience to the future network maintenance tasks.

In the process of standardizing and innovating the LAN, It is a cumbersome task to pair the optical fiber Switches of Internet cafes with computers. The following describes four common matching methods:

1. network Cable Testing: this is also a common method for people to unplug all network cables from Internet cafe fiber switches (or hubs) and connect the launch end of the testing terminal to the network cable at one end of the computer, then, use the receiver to test the network cable of the optical fiber switch of the Internet cafe one by one, and find out the end of the signal to connect to the indicator. The end is mounted to the number tube and stabbed into the status of the optical fiber switch of the Internet cafe, complete the network cable pairing task, and then perform the pairing task for the next network cable. This method is suitable for LAN with a small number of computers.

2. enable the computer one by one: when the network connection is normal, the power indicator and data indicator of the Computer NIC will be on the corresponding port position of the optical fiber switch of the Internet cafe, based on this feature, we can turn on the computer one by one to check which position of the optical fiber switch in the internet cafe will be on, and the network cable of the Response port will be the same as the one that just opened the computer. For some NICs, you only need to connect the NIC to the LAN. If the light is on or off, this method is not suitable.

3. "Hot swapping" of the network cable: when the computer is enabled, unplug the network cable connected to the network card, check the status of the optical fiber switch on the Internet cafe, and then determine the network cable connected to the computer. Action is the same as method 2. However, hot swapping poses an inevitable risk to computers.

The above method requires the disconnection of the residual LAN, which can be completed by two people. When the optical fiber switch between the computer and the Internet cafe is far away, the computer must communicate through the walkie talkie and mobile phone. If the task is completed by Yi Ge, the labor intensity is very high. Some major LAN networks cannot be disconnected at will. Is there a simple solution? Of course!

4. Big data copy method: we know that the data indicators of fiber switches and NICs in Internet cafes will flash during data transmission. According to this feature, we can copy data from a specified computer and check the data indicator lights of the optical fiber switch in the internet cafe to determine the connected computer.

First, borrow a computer to put it next to the optical fiber switch of the Internet cafe, do a short network cable stabbed into the port specified by the optical fiber switch of the Internet cafe, confirm that the computer can be connected to the LAN (assuming the computer name is test, access the Port 1 of the optical fiber switch in the Internet cafe, and then check whether every computer in the LAN can access the lan. You can open "Network Neighbor" to see if you can find the computer used for testing: test, you can also set a big data folder on the computer to share (such as sharing a C drive ). Place "number tube" on the network cable, and write down the relevant data of the computer, such as the Computer status, computer title, IP address, and number of "number tube.

Next we can perform a quick pairing task. Open "Network Neighbor" on the test computer, double-click a computer, find its shared folder, and copy the big data file to the test computer. Then, check the data indicator of the optical fiber switch in the Internet cafe, there should be two status indicators that are fast and continue to flash, one is to connect the test computer's Port 1, the other port is connected to the computer that is responsible for data replication, put "number tube" on it, write down the port status, and complete the matching task for a group of Network cables.

Open "Network Neighbor" on the test computer, find the shared folder of the other computer, copy the big data file, and determine its port position on the fiber optic switch of the Internet cafe. One by one to complete the network cable pairing task in the LAN.

Finally, delete the files copied from the test computer and invalidate the shared folder set on the local area network. Rectify computer-related data, the port correspondence between the computer and the Internet cafe optical fiber switch, and the recording of "number tube.

In this way, you do not need to break the connection of the residual LAN, check the connection of the computer, and pair the network cable on the optical fiber switch of the Internet cafe with a person, which is convenient and fast.
