How to partition again without damaging data

Make sure that your file system is NTFS. The FAT32 file system does not work.

Right-click the disk and choose Properties> General tab. The file system displays your file system.

Adjust a size on the right side of the input compressed space, which is the maximum allowed by default, and then press the compression. (No matter how much space you have left is useless, the space that can be compressed will not exceed half of the size of the existing partition .) You can see that a part of the Space is released, and then you can create a new partition in this part of the space. Right-click a blank space and choose create simple volume. Add unallocated space to the existing partition. In addition, we will show you a small tip. If you see an unallocated Space following a drive letter in the disk manager, this part of space can be connected to the drive letter: Right-click the partition to be extended (the partition must be followed by unallocated space), and then expand the volume.
