How to query Oracle 11g logs

The following statements can be used to query the 11g alarm log storage path:

--Show the location of the Diagnostic_dest

1.show parameter diagnostic_dest; --Querying the directory of XML files

2.select value from V$diag_info where name= ' diag Alert ';

--Querying the directory of text files

3.select value from V$diag_info where name= ' diag Trace ';

4.show parameter background_dump_dest; 5.select value from V$parameter where name= ' background_dump_dest ';

Note: Oracle 11g alarm logs are stored in two formats: one in XML format and the other in text format.
