The 3G era has come a little slower, after all, Europe has begun the commercial of 4G networks. But it's better than nothing, always better than the 2G and 2.5G times. If the tariff policy is better, it is really a mobile phone playing the network.

Spring has just passed, I took the company's technical team to the company in the field of the new plant began on-site work. Because it is in the field, there is only a simple temporary shelter as our office environment. As a result of my personal travel more than before, the company configured for me a WCDMA 3G Internet card. Although I can surf the internet, the brothers also need to download some information, or keep in touch with HQ. Without adding new equipment, is there any way to make the entire team of engineers enjoy the convenience of 3G?

Well, let's take a look at the specific plan--

Programme one: Notebook +3g Internet card

I need the equipment and operation:

My side is the equivalent of "mainframe", the basic equipment required is their own notebook and 3G card. Of course, this notebook must have a wireless network card (or the colleague's notebook how to connect over?), the operating system must be Vista or Windows7. The following demonstration uses the same Windows7,vista method of operation.

First of all, I installed 3G Internet card, and turned on the computer's wireless network switch (soft/hard off are open), double-click the Unicom dialer, using the default Unicom as dial-up link dial-up Internet connection, after the success of my Notebook can be a stand-alone internet.

Next click on the Windows7 desktop in the lower right corner of the network connection icon, into the "Network and Sharing Center." Click "Set up a new connection or network" under the window, and then select "Set wireless temporary (computer to computer) network" in the window. Then, in the Set up Temporary network window, set up a new network name (which I set to outdoor) and the type of encryption that you shared with your colleagues. To ensure that Windows XP computers can also be accessed smoothly, it is recommended that the encryption method (that is, the security type) Choose WEP, WAP2 mode and unencrypted mode are not recommended.

When these settings are done, our wireless LAN is built, but Windows7 has not bridged the 3G network with the new wireless network, so in the next steps, remember to select "Enable Internet Connection Sharing" in the prompt window. A new wireless network connection in the "Wait for user" status will appear in the wireless network connection on the host side.

Equipment and operations required by colleagues:

That's a lot easier for co-workers, only need a laptop with a wireless card, and then search the wireless network as usual, find this "outdoor" wireless network point "Connection" (Network name can be set, not necessarily or called outdoor), and then fill in the password will be able to connect successfully, I can share the 3G Internet with my notebook.

Tips: Pay attention to save flow

3G Internet Although convenient, but the cost is still not cheap, especially in the "sching" situation, so to find ways to reduce traffic, control costs.

1. The Mail first receives the mail head, encounters the big Mass mail, collects by a colleague, then the local sharing;

2. Reduce the use of MSN, this IM software background flow than QQ large many times;

3. Can further close the webpage browsing the picture display and the sound display, reduces the flow.

Programme two: Notebook +3G mobile phone

If under special circumstances, even 3G Internet card is not, can also share the Internet? The answer is yes.

Plan one is not the most cost-effective, as long as you have a 3G mobile phone-exactly, as long as the speed is not too slow, 2G mobile phone can also-can also build a shared Internet wireless LAN. I'll take a Windows Mobile 6 phone as an example to explain that other operating system mobile phones, such as Android, Symbian S60, and even the older version of Windows Mobile 2003 can be, but the operation is more cumbersome, here is skipped.

The equipment I need is still a laptop, and another 3G phone.

First, connect the phone with the laptop with a USB cable. Select "Programs"-"Internet sharing" on your phone. Then, in the menu item "Network Connection", select "GPRS connection Internet" (2G network) or "Unicom connected to the Internet" (3G Network), and then click "Connect" can be.

Selection of connection mode on mobile phone

At this point, the Windows Mobile Device Center on the host side will set up the network in the background. Next, repeat the steps in scenario one starting with "setting up a new connection or network."

The equipment and operations that co-workers need are exactly the same as the solution. In this way, our team, without the need for other devices, has achieved 3G network sharing.
