Acrobat Reader 9 is too slow to handle. Therefore, Foxit Reader is installed today with version 3.3.1.0518. The speed of opening PDF files is fast.
However, Foxit Reader has an advertisement in the upper right corner of the menu bar, which looks very uncomfortable.
I remember that in the original version, the advertisement can be removed from the View menu. It seems that the advertisement will appear again after it is turned off. This time I decided to make a thorough decision.
Open the registry and find the following key values.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Foxit Reader \ mainframe
Change "showad" to 0. Open Foxit Reader again and find that there is still advertisement.
Try another registry with the words "ad.
- First modify "advertiseindex" to 0.
- Then change "showad" to 0.
The advertisement disappears.
Enjoy your Foxit Reader!
