How to replace a toner cartridge with a laser printer

1. Open the printer and press the power button. You must have the device to access most units of the toner cartridge.

2. View the printer's Information display window to determine the amount of ink. If the display window content "Toner is insufficient", you can probably squeeze several copies before you have to replace the cartridge. If it says, "Toner has run out," You have to replace the ink cartridge before you can make more copies.

3 Open the printer door to access the toner cartridge. On some models, you will have to hold down the release Shan to cover you. When the lid is removed from most laser printers, the carriage automatically slides to the right unit for the convenience of the cartridge.

4. Remove the finished cartridge from the printer.

Depending on the model, you may have decoupled the cradle box, or inward Press the Release tab to loosen the cartridge that you want to remove. For some printers, you can hold down the Blue release button on the side of the cartridge bracket.

Once unlocked, pull up to remove the cartridge from you.

The cartridge used by the observation post. If you don't have a replacement cartridge on hand, copy the model. You will need to know that this is for your printer compatible unit purchase.

5. Replace the ink cartridge.

Take the new cartridge to the box, but keep it in the plastic wrap. Sometimes, in the process of transport, you can solve the ink drum, resulting in inferior copy. To prevent this problem, gently shake the cartridge. This helps distribute the toner completely throughout the toner cartridge.

Remove the new from the packing box.

Color label pulled on the cartridge. This eliminates the protective tape from the bottom of the cartridge. While doing this, be careful not to touch the imaging drum at the bottom of the print cartridge. Stains on the photoconductor drum can cause print quality problems.

The ink cartridge will be replaced. It should be stuck in a safe place, lined up with other cartridges. You'll know it's the Blue release button in the observation. If you return to the locked position, your cartridge is safe. In the device lock cradle, be sure to close the lid before snapping it around the cartridge close. You are ready to use your printer.

6. Print the test page. Your computer will automatically identify the new toner cartridge that has been installed. Most computers will ask you if you want to print a test page to make sure the new cartridge is functional. Click "OK". The computer will scan the printer settings and eventually produce Full-color pages.
