Hard Disk Partition failures often occur. If important information is stored in the lost partition, it is often anxious. You even need to pay a lot of money to seek professional data recovery technicians for recovery.

In my customers, about 20% of the data needs to be restored due to the loss of hard disk partitions, most of which are caused by viruses and incorrect operations. Some of them show that only partition C can be found, and some even show that all partitions are invisible. The direct cause of partition loss is mostly caused by the hard disk partition table error or the partition table is cleared.

The hard disk partition table is an important part of the primary Boot Sector of the hard disk. It plays a key role in the Automatic Lifting of the system. Once a partition table is damaged, the hard disk partition information is damaged, resulting in the loss of hard disk partitions.

It seems that this hard disk partition table is still quite fragile. In this case, if your data is very important and you do not have the basic knowledge of data restoration, it is recommended that common users do not destroy the original data and do not use some non-professional software for repair without authorization. It is best to have people with data repair experience fix the data. Otherwise, the restoration will be more troublesome in the future.

However, with a little experience, it is not very difficult to fix it. For example, a software named diskgenius can automatically fix some simple faults. The operation is very simple. You only need to place the software on your dos boot disk, run the software, and then press F10. In addition, if you have some practical experience, you can also use software such as NDD and winhex for manual repair, and often get rid of the disease by hand ".

There are still many ways to fix the hard disk partition table. For example, you can use the fixmbr command in the Windows XP fault recovery console, or you can use the Windows 98 CD boot system, then use the fdisk/MBR command to fix the issue. It should be noted that the problem cannot be completely solved through a certain method. You can try multiple methods until the problem is fixed. Partition Table destructionProgramAnd the hard disk partition table cannot be restored.

Yes, but the best way is to back up the hard disk partition table information before the partition is lost. For example, you can use dskprobe, a disk detection tool that comes with Windows XP, to back up data. This tool can be found in the system CD \ support \ tools \ support. Cab installation package.

Click "logical volume" in the "drives" menu on the dskprobe main interface, and double-click a partition to be backed up in the "logical volumes" list (figure 1 ), the "set active" button is activated, click it, and then click "OK ". Click "read" in the "sectors" menu, click "read" in the pop-up menu, and then click "File> Save as" to back up the data.

When a partition is lost, activate the partition to be restored in Figure 1, cancel the "Read Only" check box, and click "Open File" in the "file" menu ", next, find the previously backed up Partition Table file, click "sectors> write", and then click "Write it" in the pop-up window to restore and repair (figure 2 ).

Sometimes partition tables are not damaged. For example, if some friends enter DoS or log on to Windows 9x, they will find that a partition is missing. In fact, partition is not lost, this is because partitions in NTFS format cannot be identified in DOS and Windows 9x systems. However, you can use the NTFS for DOS program.

Yes, there are other cases. For example, some users have installed both Windows and Linux, but they cannot access each other's partitions in Windows and Linux, this is because they do not recognize their respective disk formats. If you want to directly access the partition where Linux is located under Windows, you can use a software named explore2fs (: http://download.enet.com.cn/html/030282000080601.html); if you want to access windows partition information under Linux, you can directly use the mount command in Linux and add configuration parameters.

In addition, some software also has the function of hiding partitions. For example, pqmagic has this function. You only need to select the partition to be hidden (but do not hide the system partition, otherwise you will not be able to enter the system ), then run the "advanced → hide partition" command and click "OK" in the pop-up window. In fact, it is to convert the DOS partition to a non-DOS partition, execute the "advanced → unhide partition" command, and finally click "OK" to confirm.

There are many reasons for partition loss. We 'd better back up hard disk partitions before a fault occurs, so that we can plan ahead. In addition, when operating the computer, do not shut down the computer illegally. In addition, you must correctly use the one-click restoration software, ghost software, and disk partitioning software. If not, it is also easy to cause partition loss. Do not worry too much when the partition is lost. Find out the cause and try to fix it again.
