1. Unplug the power cord of the switch.

2. Connect the Super Terminal and the control line to the switch. The Super Terminal settings are as follows:

9600 baud rate No parity 8 data bits 1 stop bit No flow control

3. Press and hold the "mode" button on the front panel of the switch to plug in the power cord. When the light on Port 1 is not on, relax the "mode" button;

switch#configure terminal switch(config)#no enable secret switch(config)#no enable password switch(config)#exit switch#write memory
