The Ivory Tower has recently upgraded its computer operating system to the latest Win8 system, which is smooth and easy to use. However, when using Win8 to build a temporary wireless hotspot, I found that there is no option in Windows 7 (using the Windows7 system to establish a wireless hotspot). How can I achieve wifi sharing in Win8 laptops? In fact, the method is not difficult. In the Win8 system, we only need a few simple commands to easily establish WiFi sharing. Here we will share with you the specific steps:
Step 1: run the command prompt as an administrator:
Press the Win key + X shortcut key, and then click "command prompt (administrator)" in the pop-up dialog box and select the command prompt:
1. Enter netsh wlan show drive in the command window. The supported bearer network must be "yes" to determine Nic support (Enable Wireless NIC ).
2. Continue to enter the command: netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode = allow ssid = windows8ap key = 1234567890.
Note: mode = the enable parameter allow is followed by the virtual network card, and disallow is disabled. The ssid = (custom wireless network name, which can be filled in at will, and both English and numbers can be entered ), key = followed by the virtual network card password, more than eight characters (such as: 1234567890) (custom wireless network password, remember, other wireless devices need to connect ).
Step 2: Right-click to open the network and sharing center (or open the Control Panel Network and Internet network and sharing center), click to change the adapter settings, and set Internet Connection Sharing
Click the network connection icon, select your current network connection, and click "broadband connection" or "Ethernet ", click "properties"> "share"> "allow other network users to connect to the computer over the internet (N), select the virtual Wi-Fi network card, and click" OK. If this option does not show a virtual network card, perform the first step again or update your network card.
Example: right-click the Share option in the select attribute of the wired Ethernet connection, as shown in the following figure:
Set the shared network.
Step 3: enter netsh wlan start hostednetwork in the command line window to start the bearer network, that is, to enable sharing!
Step 4: After completing the preceding steps, you can use wireless scans such as IPad, mobile phone, and notebook devices to find the Windows 8 AP (the name is the custom ssid) and enter the set password to achieve wireless sharing.
Note: 1. Win8 laptop wifi sharing fails, or the reason for the blue screen is:
Some friends share WIFI is to run the cmd command prompt immediately appeared on the blue screen, as long as the reason is that this NIC driver is Intel's Wireless NIC driver. A driver of version 13.0 or 13.1 is required. A driver of a later version may cause blue screen and automatic restart. Open the Device Manager, right-click the wireless network card, and click uninstall. By the way, select Delete driver. Then install the 13.0 or 13.1 driver.
How to quickly start and disable a wireless network
2. create a TXT file and enter netsh wlan start hostednetwork and save it as "start WIFI. cmd or enable WIFI. bat "to enable wireless network sharing, you only need to right-click to run as administrator. Similarly, you only need to change Start to Stop.
