In a Word2013 document, text in a SmartArt graphic sometimes requires font effects such as character spacing, high characters, superscript, subscript, and underline, which can be implemented by using the Font dialog box, as described in the following procedure:
Step 1th, open the Word20103 document window and double-click specific text in your SmartArt graphic to make it checked.
Step 2nd, right-click the selected text and choose Font from the shortcut menu that opens, as shown in Figure 2013080911.

3rd step, open the Font dialog box, on the Font tab, select the superscript, subscript, or equal high characters check box to set the font effect, or click the Underline Style Drop-down button to set the underline, as shown in Figure 2013080912.

Step 4th, switch to the Character Spacing tab, click the Spacing Drop-down triangle button to select the normal, widen, or tighten options, and set the appropriate measures. Click the OK button when you finish setting, as shown in Figure 2013080913.
