How to set or turn off the Excel screen tip feature
A ScreenTip is a window that moves the mouse cursor to display descriptive text on a command or option, in which case the description of the current option or command is displayed, as shown in the screen tip for the Format Painter button.
Users can set whether or not to display a feature description or turn off the ScreenTip by setting the following:
Step one, select the File menu, and then select the Options menu bar, as shown in the picture:
In step two, open the Excel Options dialog box, click the ScreenTip style Drop-down list box in the user interface options bar on the General tab, and in the Drop-down list that pops up, you can set up the relevant settings as shown in the figure:

By default, the "Show feature descriptions in ScreenTips" option is selected, and selecting the "Do not display feature descriptions in ScreenTips" option will display only the name of the target in the window, as shown in the figure.
