1, in the left pane of the master view, select the Office theme slide Master layout, and then on the Slide Master tab, in the Master Layout group, click the Master Layout button, as shown in Figure 1.

2, the Master Layout dialog box opens, and the check box in the dialog box is selected to determine what should be added to the master slide. If only the slide number check box is selected here, as shown in Figure 2, and when you click OK to close the dialog box, only the slide number placeholder appears in the slide master, as shown in Figure 3.

Attention

To restore a deleted placeholder, you can only operate on the theme master, which is not possible in other layout templates. To restore a placeholder in the layout master, you can only implement it by inserting a placeholder action.
