How to set up a network printer on a computer (Windows XP)

1. Before setting up a network printer, make sure that we have a shared network printer in this Lan, now, go to "start"> "settings"> "printer and fax" on the computer, and then click "add printer" on the left of the pop-up interface, as shown in the following figure.

2. Click "next", and then click "network printer connected to other computing-cost printers"

3. Then, we can select some operations as shown in the following figure.

4. Select a printer and click next.

5. We will find all the printers available here. We will select our local area network printer.

6. Click next.

7. When you click next, you will be prompted that you are going to connect to the printer on pc-xxxx. It will automatically install a driver on your computer.

8. At last, we set it to the default printer. Of course, we can also leave it empty.
