Enable POP in your Gmail account.
Open Outlook or Outlook Express.
Click the Tools menu, and then select Account ....
Click Add, and then click Mail ...
Type your name in the Display name: field, and then click Next.
Enter your full Gmail e-mail address (username@gmail.com) in the "E-mail address:" field, and then click Next.
In the Receive mail (POP3, IMAP, or HTTP) server: field, enter "Pop.gmail.com". In the outgoing mail server (SMTP): field, enter "Smtp.gmail.com".
Click "Next".
In the Account name: field, enter your Gmail username (including "@gmail. com"). In the Password: field, enter your Gmail password, and then click Next.
Click Finish.
"Tick", which requires Secure Password Authentication (SPA) to log on.
Click "Other Settings", "Send Server", "tick" selected, my outgoing server (SMTP) request verification (O)
Click the Advanced tab.
Select Receive Message (POP3): This port will be changed to 995.
"Check the checkbox next to this server requires secure connection (SSL)."
On the Send Mail (SMTP): This port will be changed to 587.
Use the following cryptographic connection types (C): select: TLS
A copy of the message (L) is reserved on the server and can be customized by the user.
Click OK.
