How to set Windows 8 to open a window in a new tab

Operation Steps:

1. Click the "Tools" button in the IE command bar or upper right corner to select "Internet Options";

2. In the "General" option, click on the "tab" button;

3. First confirm that "Enable tabbed browsing" is selected;

When you encounter a pop-up window, select Always open the pop-up window in a new tab.

In the open links from other programs in the following location, select the new tab in the current window;
