VMware Horizon View Agent 6.1 is not supported by VMware's official instructions for Windows XP. If you need to use Windows XP, you can use the Horizon view Agent 6.0.2, and then work with connection S Erver 6.1.
If connection Server is upgraded from version 6.0, there may be no problem. But if it's a new installation, you'll have problems.
The fault is that after adding a WinXP machine with 6.0.2 or earlier agent installed in the view administrator, the connection agent is displayed first and then the connectivity error is displayed.
The reason is that version 6.1 of connection defaults to the message security mode set to enhanced. and cannot be changed through view Administratorgeng or Vdmutil .
The workaround is to use Adsiedit.msc to make changes.
Run Adsiedit.msc on the connection server.
in the Connection settings column filled with Dc=vdi,dc=vmware,dc=int.
Fill in the localhost:389 in the Icomputer column.
Then connect.
Expand
Ou=properties
Ou=global
Cn=common,
Change the Pae-msgsecmode value inside the Cn=common to on. (Note that it is the uppercase O, not the number 0)
Then restart connection server. Then restart the Windows XP virtual machine.
