First of all, I think it is a CentOS version Problem. because the CentOS version in the book is 5.3, and the system version used by the author is 6.3, the version is different, and the small details in this aspect are different and understandable. Since it is time-consuming to reinstall CentOS 5.3, I cannot verify the authenticity of this assumption. As mentioned in the book, after the conversion of different modes, laruence listed a file etcinittab, which indicates that the file can be modified to the default mode of Linux. so I tried to open this file, in the inittab file, note that Terminal gettys are handled... In this line, the terminal mode configuration file is/etc/init/tty. conf, so I thought that the shortcut key settings should also be in, so I open this configuration file according to instructions, the value of active_les Les in the third line of the start-tty configuration file is 1-6, that is to say, there are no 7 terminals. no wonder I followed the instructions in the book [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [F7] in the dark! Next, row 4 sets the terminal of X Window to tty1, which means that the shortcut key in desktop mode should be [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [F1! In the past, these shortcut keys can be configured in Linux, and you have to admire the power of Linux. in this way, the windows and command line modes in CentOS 6.3 are well resolved. Conclusion: Practice is the best way to master knowledge and the fastest way to solve problems encountered in practice. Only in this way can we make progress and improve. It is better to believe in books without books. the contents of the books may be outdated or have other problems. only by finding the reasons for the differences can you ensure that the knowledge you have learned is solid enough.
