ICANN
ICANN (The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) is translated into Chinese as "Internet name and digital address allocation institution", which undertakes domain name system management, IP address allocation, and protocol parameter configuration, and Master server system management. In short, this organization can supervise all domain name service providers.
Domain name transfer code
The domain name transfer code is also known as the Authorization Code or the domain name EPP (Extensible Provisioning Protocol) Code (EPP Key), also known as EPP code or Auth Code. Each domain name has its own transfer password. Only by knowing this transfer password can the domain name be transferred from one registrar to another. According to ICANN's terms, each domain name provider is obligated to inform the domain name registrar of the transfer password of the domain name.
Difficult
My domain name slyar.com has been hosted by the domestic domain name service provider 35 interconnected, but for some personal reasons and 35 poor interconnected services, so that I had to decide to transfer the domain name to the domain name service provider of the US Emperor. GoDaddy, also known as dog dad, is a good choice for me because of its low price and good reputation. But before that, I need to get the password required for domain name transfer. Therefore, I began to send an email to 35 Internet users to apply for a domain name transfer code.
The so-called online correction is to change the registrant's name, phone number, and other information. At that time, I had to mail a lot of information, including my ID card or something, and it took me three months to complete the process. Complaint to ICANN
Recently, bloggers are in a bad mood and are suffering from English every day, so they are eager to get angry. Therefore, the blogger re-drafted an email in both Chinese and English, meaning that I am the domain name owner and according to the rights granted to me by ICANN, your company is obligated to provide a domain name transfer code to me within five days and shall not make it difficult for me for any reason; otherwise, I will complain to ICANN with my rights. After drafting a bilingual mail in both Chinese and English, the recipient writes 35 interconnected, and then CC to ICANN's complaint mailbox (compliance@icann.org ).
It is gratifying that ICANN replied to me the next day after I sent an email, indicating that it received a complaint and will supervise the domain name service provider to handle the complaint within five working days.
Get domain name transfer code
On the third day of my bilingual email, that is, the second day after I received an ICANN reply email, 35 Internet companies took the initiative to call me to ask about the transfer. After receiving my affirmative reply, 35 interconnection means it will be completed as soon as possible. (There is a feeling of turning over to be the master in an instant, and the slaves will not kneel down yet, hahaha)
The following day, I received a domain name transfer code from 35 Internet companies in my original registered email address.
Transfer domain name to GoDaddy
Apply for an account in GoDaddy and then Transfer the Domain name (Transfer Domain ). This time I found a $1.99 "domain name transfer + free renewal for 1 year" discount code, but only for US bank card payment (the US Emperor benefits really great ), I paid for the money from the Yueer sister who taught at Purdue University. The domain name transfer enters the Pending state.
GoDaddy expects that the domain name transfer time will not exceed 7 days.
Apply for the Off-Site DNS service
As DNS resolution is interrupted during domain name transfer, GoDaddy provides a completely free temporary DNS resolution service.
First, you need to change the dns nameserver in the original domain name service provider to provide you with a temporary dns nameserver for GoDaddy
Apply for the Off-Site DNS service in GoDaddy and fill in the dns nameserver you need after the transfer.
Your domain name will not stop DNS resolution during all the procedures from transfer-in to transfer-in, which is a very good service. Domain name service providers in China are weak.
Agree to transfer out the domain name and completely leave 35 interconnected
On the third day after I sent my application for domain name transfer, I received a confirmation letter from 35 Internet. I did not hesitate to confirm it.
Domain name resolution successful, transfer completed
After confirming transfer, I received a congratulatory email from GoDaddy within three minutes and asked me to modify the domain name owner information. The name and email address of the domain name owner can be completely modified in three minutes. It takes at least three months for the domain name registrar in China. This efficiency is simply not the same day.
The new WHOIS query also confirmed that the transfer was completed and the one-year lease period was renewed for free.
ICANN feedback
After the domain name transfer is completed, ICANN sends a feedback email asking if I have successfully transferred the domain name. Of course, I replied to the praise and liked the efficiency of the cool.
