How do I troubleshoot sound problems with my device under Windows 10 system?
Please read the instructions below to troubleshoot sound issues on Windows 10 devices.
1. Check the Device Manager
- Open the Start menu, type Device Manager , select and open it from the results that appear. Select and open your sound card under the sound, video, and game Controllers section. Select the Driver column and select Update Driver . If the system does not find a new driver, you can try to find the driver on the ASUS official website.
- If the above steps are not valid, try reloading the sound card driver: Open Device Manager , right-click the sound card driver, and select Uninstall . Restart your computer and the system will automatically attempt to reload the sound card driver.
- If it is not valid, try the following steps to use the sound card driver that is provided by your Windows system: in Device Manager , right-click sound card driver > Update driver software > Browse the computer to find driver software & Gt Select the high Definition Audiodevice from the list of device drivers in your computer , select next , and follow the prompts to install.
2. Check the line, volume
- Check the headset and speakers, whether the connection is loose or the wrong interface is plugged in.
- Check the power and volume levels and try to turn all the volume up to maximum.
- Some speakers and applications have their own volume control settings and need to be checked all over again.
- Try a different USB interface connection.
- Remember that the speaker does not sound when you insert the headset.
3. Set the default device
- If you connect a sound device via USB or HDMI, you may need to set these devices as default audio devices first.
- Open Start > Type sound > Select from the returned results and open > on the Playback tab, select a device to set as default.
