How to troubleshoot the printer's skip paper

Often received customer calls, said the printer in the paper or change the Ribbon, then, when printing, you will encounter the phenomenon of the printing content, the printing of a label may appear a few blank labels, and print out the label location can not, this means that the printer paper detector failed to detect the correct label paper, The most common causes are the following:

First, the label paper installation error

Please reinstall the label against the steps in the Quick installation guide that comes with random.

Second, the paper sensor location is not correct

After lifting the print head, you will see the paper through the place there will be a paper detector, refer to the following figure, the probe needs to be covered with paper, the printer can correctly know the size of the paper:

Third, the label setting is inconsistent with the actual size

The height setting does not match the actual label height in the Paper tab of page setup in the label editing software (Figure 2). Before printing, use a ruler to measure the actual height of the label, and then set the label correctly.

Graphic Software Settings

In the bartender software, when you finish setting up the label, if you find that the page is larger in print preview (Figure 3), this indicates that the page Setup may be incorrect or not valid. To check the page setup in the software or to replace the printer driver, the following table lists the best printer drivers for each software (table 1).

Four, paper sensor dirty

1. Please clean the paper sensor with anhydrous alcohol.

Note: Clean the sensor, please turn off the printer power first.

2. Redo the "paper probe" operation. Use the following procedure to calibrate your label (only for machines after 09):

①. In standby state, press the feed key and keep for 3 seconds, 3 LEDs will blink at the same time;

②. Machine Automatic paper (about 20 cm), and then stop to the normal torn paper position;

③.3 led led to stop flashing after the return to normal state, operation completed.

If paper probes remain invalid, it is recommended that you use a penetrating sensor for probing. Turn the back dip switch 5th to ON, as shown in Figure 4, and then restart the printer power.

Five, the label paper gap is not standard

Some label paper processing, due to machine or mold reasons, resulting in the production of label paper size or interval inconsistent, resulting in the printer can not sense the size of the label paper, so there will be a continuous blank paper.

Six, the media type is not set correctly

In the driver did not choose the right ring type, such as the interval of the label paper to choose "have spacing of the label", punch the label needs to choose "Tagged label", continuous paper media type needs to select "continuous" paper, refer to the following figure:

Seven, the label is too thick or the label paper is irregular

If the label paper is a thickened type, and the base paper is very thick, or some electronic tags are very irregular, it will cause the printer can not sense the size of the paper, which will also appear in the case of blank paper.
