How to uninstall oracle11g and oracle11g
- Oracle 11g R2 x64
- Redhat5 (rhel x64)
1. Use SQL * PLUS to stop a database
[oracle@OracleTest oracle]$ sqlplus logSQL> connect / as sysdbaSQL> shutdown [immediate]SQL> exit
2. Stop Listener
[oracle@OracleTest oracle]$ lsnrctl stop
3. Stop the HTTP service
[root@OracleTest /root]# service httpd stop
4. Use su or log on to the root again (if you want to reinstall it, You can retain the oracle user, saving you the trouble of entering environment variables) 5. Delete the installation directory
[root@OracleTest /root]# rm -rf /u01/oracle/[root@OracleTest /root]# rm -rf /u01/oraInventory/
6. delete files under/usr/bin.
[root@OracleTest /root]# rm /usr/local/bin/dbhome[root@OracleTest /root]# rm /usr/local/bin/oraenv[root@OracleTest /root]# rm /usr/local/bin/coraenv
7. delete/etc/oratab
[root@OracleTest /root]# rm /etc/oratab
8. delete/etc/oraInst. loc
[root@OracleTest /root]# rm /etc/oraInst.loc
9. Delete the oracle user (if you want to reinstall it, You can not delete it)
[root@OracleTest /root]# userdel –r oracle
10. Delete the user group (to reinstall it, Do not delete it)
[root@OracleTest /root]# groupdel oinstall[root@OracleTest /root]# groupdel dba
11. Delete the startup Service
[root@OracleTest /root]# chkconfig --del dbora
After the restart, your Oracle Database in Linux has been completely deleted !!!
