During work, the AP is often upgraded to or dropped from the lap to the AP.
There are many methods on the Internet, and different methods are introduced in both directions. For example, you can use cisco's upgrade tools to upgrade AP to lap.CiscoAironet-AP-to-LWAPP-Upgrade-Tool-v34The software has advantages in batch deployment. However, the software cannot run in 64-bit Windows 7, and 32-bit Windows 7 is not tested.
However, I recommend that you use the same method, which is simple and quick.
1. First, prepare the IOS file of the fat AP or thin AP.
2. Prepare the CDaemon TFTP environment and use other software.
TFTP server host
Set the IP address to 10.0.0.10 255.0.0.0,
IOS file renamed c1200-k9w7-tar.default"
(Different IOS versions have different names and can be modified as prompted)
3. Connect the Super Terminal and control port to the AP to monitor the status.
4. Press and holdModeKey, and then plug in the power, wait for 20-30 seconds, the following prompt appears
Flashfs [0]: 3 files, 2 Directories
Flashfs [0]: 0 orphaned files, 0 orphaned Directories
Flashfs [0]: Total Bytes: 15998976
Flashfs [0]: bytes used: 1867776
Flashfs [0]: bytes available: 14131200
Flashfs [0]: flashfs fsck took 26 seconds.

Process_config_recovery: Image Recovery

Then iOS will start to decompress the package to flash.
If you want to switch from AP to lap, wlc is required. After the IOS guide is completed, the system will be automatically downloaded from the wlc and initialized. The upgrade will take about 5 minutes.
If you have any questions or require iOS, please leave a message to contact us. Thank you!
