The first trick: Make Excel print the width and height of the paper

1. Start Excel, open the workbook file you want, and click the appropriate worksheet.

2. On the File menu, click Page Setup, and then click the page tab.

3. In the paper Size box, set the original B4 to A4, and then under the Zoom bar, select adjust to to set the number in the page width and page height two input boxes to 1 (Figure 1).

4. Click "OK" button.

Now, print this Excel form and a A4 sheet of paper will hold the entire table. In fact, after you make these settings, Excel shrinks the print image and text as needed. A specific percentage reduction can be viewed in the Zoom box on the page tab by opening the Page Setup dialog box. If you have manual paging settings in your files, they will be ignored when you use the Adjust to option.

Second trick: let word "scale" print by paper size

Small Jia encounters the problem is Excel table "Zoom" printing, if you edit the Word table encountered the same problem, the solution is different from Excel. The specific methods are as follows:

1. Start Word and open the document you want.

2. On the File menu, click Print.

3. In the zoom bar, in the size by paper box, select the A4 paper type (Figure 2).

4. Click "OK" button.

When you scale a document for printing, changes occur only when you print, and Word does not change the settings for the document itself, unlike Excel, because Excel also changes the settings for the worksheet. For word, the above procedure adjusts only the proportions of the document that is printed this time. To adjust the document proportions for all print periods in this way, on the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Print tab, and select the Allow A4/letter paper type item.

The third trick: let the printer automatically print by paper size

Perhaps, the software you use to edit the table does not provide "zoom" printing function, such as some financial software generated B4 paper-type accounting statements how to print to A4 paper? At this point, we can directly help the printer used, the printer set to reduce printing. Now, let's take the Epson Stylus Photo 1290 Printer (operating system for Windows XP SP2) as an example.

1. Click Start, select Settings, and click Printers and Faxes.

2. Right-click the Epson Stylus Photo 1290 Printer, and then select Properties from the shortcut menu.

3. On the General tab, click the Print Preferences button.

4. Go to the "Layout" tab, tick the "Zoom" item, select "Full", and then select A4 paper type in the Output paper size box.

5. Click "OK" button to close each dialog box.

After this setting, when printing, the system will automatically "scale" the printed content to print it on A4 paper. In particular, to remind you that if you do not need to "scale" the printed content to A4 paper, you need to cancel the selection of the zoom item as described above, or the printer will continue to "scale" printing.

"Scaling" the document to print not only eliminates the trouble of adjustment, but also can reduce the waste of paper, why not?
