Now many offline browsers, but most of them are shareware, or English software, which has brought us a lot of inconvenience. In fact, Microsoft's Web page making tools FrontPage XP has a website download function, through some settings can drag down the entire site file, so that you take the time to slowly taste the site after the offline.
Start FrontPage XP First, and then click the new → page or site command on the File menu. Then, on the right side of the program, pop up a new web page or Web task bar, click the Web Site Template command, open the Web Site Templates dialog box (Figure 1), and select the Import Site Wizard template, and on the right, "Specify new site location", enter the destination folder for the site you want to import. Click the OK button to open a Site Import Wizard-Select Source dialog box.
In "Where do you want to import from?" The item provides "the directory where the source files on the local computer or network are located" or "Global Wan Site" Two single options, we download the site content on the network, so we need to select the "Global Wan site." In the "Location" text box below, enter the Web site that we need. Click the Next button to enter the Site Import Wizard-Select Download dialog box (Figure 2).
Check the "pages within this and XX layers" option, and enter the number of levels you want to import. This parameter limits the scope which the FrontPage downloads automatically, suggested that everybody searches the layer limit to 3 levels, because the webpage connection usually is more, if the download layer number too many, can cause too many invalid downloads, instead wasted the bandwidth and the resources. Of course, if you do not dispute the cost of communications, you can try to search a few more layers. After setting, tick the "limit this to xxkb" option below and enter the hard disk space required to import the file. This parameter can be set according to our own needs, in KB. If you only want to import text and image files without any components, Java applets, and other related files, check the "Restrict text and image files" checkbox.
After the above settings click "Next" button to enter the "Completion" dialog box, the program prompts us to download the site settings successfully. Click the Finish button and the program starts linking to the Web site for downloading. During the download process, we can view the downloaded files and folders through the Folder List window in the FrontPage interface. When the download is complete, we can use IE to browse the files in the website. Of course, we can also use FrontPage to edit the site.
