How to use Illustrator guides and rulers

Let's give you a detailed analysis of the tutorials on how to use guides and rulers.
Tutorial sharing:
1. Speed up printing and output
For those who use Illustrator for creation, the color pass panel is often used to simplify the color filling process. However, too many color stamps will slow down the printing and output speed. Therefore, it is recommended that you delete unused color stamps or brushes before storing files or printing them to increase the speed. To delete the image, click the arrow in the upper-right corner of the color pass panel or brush panel, Select All Unused from the pop-up menu, and then Select Delete.
2. Quickly generate a background layer
After you use Illustrator to create a pattern and store it, if you enable it with Photoshop 4, the image is usually on a transparent layer without the background layer. If you want to create the background bottom layer, a new layer is usually added, and then merge down or flatten is executed to generate the background bottom layer. Now we will introduce you to a quick way: you just need to press the arrow in the upper right corner on the layer panel, select Add Layer, and then select "back scene bottom layer" in the mode to generate quickly. However, after Photoshop 5, these actions are merged into a pointer. Select "layers & larr; add & larr; background bottom layer" on the menu to complete the operation.
3. Delete too many samples.
When you open a file in version 7, Illustrator will introduce the obsolete section that is not required when creating the file in the previous Illustrator version. To clear unnecessary sections, click the All Swatches icon in the Swatches palette, Select All Unused in the pop-up menu, and click on the Trash icon to remove irrelevant samples. You sometimes have to repeat the selection and deletion processes to ensure that the palette is cleared. Note that complex files will take a long time to be cleared, and the process, slide pole, or watch will not be displayed on the screen, so don't panic-you may have crashed. It is easier for users who use Illustrator 8 to edit nodes and do not know if they often encounter this problem. When you use the arrow selection tool to select nodes on an object, you cannot select the desired node smoothly. In this case, you only need to turn off the Snap to Point (Command + Option + ^) to select the desired node for editing.
4. Convert to RGB
It is easy to convert CMYK to RGB without a sample Association in Illustrator. You only need to use Save As to copy the file and the object is not locked at all layers, when visible and selected, select Filter, Colors, and Convert CMYK to RGB. However, please understand that the conversion from CMYK to RGB will lead you to lose any connection with the storage layout. This means that objects cannot be colored by the stored sample, so you cannot update them all over the area.
5 Storage gradient
Because the gradient in Illustrator7 cannot be automatically stored, you must take measures to ensure that the gradient you created is not lost carelessly: When you design a gradient for an object, you can see that the gradient can only be used in this object. To store it for future use or to allow another object to use it, drag the Gradient block in the Gradient palette to the Swatches palette. Although you can drag the gradient you wish to drag to the Swatches palette, you can also use Option-(Alt) to drag the sample to the stored gradient to update it.
6. Set the printing function for multiple layers
In Illustrator, you do not have to access the Print Options of each individual layer to set your output needs. Select several layers and double-click any selected Layer to access all their Layer Options. The active selected check box means that the print function selection has been applied to all layers; the dimmed checked box means that the printing function is only applied to one of the layers (and can be set when this individual layer is selected .); The checked box that has not been selected means that the print feature is not selected for any layer.
7. Reset the gradient to the default value.
After you use the Illustrator Gradient tool for adjustment, other objects that use the same Gradient or other Gradient colors will have a change angle. You can reset the gradient angle to zero by pressing (/) and None. In this way, when you select a gradient next time, it will be the default angle setting. For linear Gradient, you can also enter zero in the Angle field of the Gradient palette before the new Gradient of the Create key.
8. Raster objects to create shadows
In Illustrator, you can use grating to create a huge custom shadow. Create an object, copy it, and offset it. Set the color of the background Object (shadow) before selecting the Object or Rasterize. Select the Photoshop effect from the Filter menu, such as Pixelate and Pointillize. To do the same thing in Macromedia FreeHand 8, you can copy the object and select Rasterize in the Modify menu, then select Edit and External Editor to activate Photoshop and apply effects. To obtain the same or similar effect in CorelDraw, you can use Bitmap, Convert to Bitmap, and then select the effect from the Bitmaps menu, however, the new Interactive drop Shadow tool in CorelDraw 8 has built-in
9 restore the old Illustrator filter
Many Mac Illustrator users believe that the Ink Pen filter in version 6 is easier to use than in version 7; other users may be saddened by the loss of the Add Anchor Points filter and the repeated use of Command-Option-E. Adobe does not accept this, however, Mac users can easily drag these old filters to the Filter folder in the Illustrator 7 Plug-ins folder to restore them (if they still have version 6)
10 CMYK preferred
It's because pivostrator7 allows you to build colors in CMYK, RGB, and HSB (tone, saturation, bright) color modes, so be careful, your contribution may now contain objects created in combination with these patterns. When you make an output, there may be a variety of unexpected situations. The printed output file should use CMYK; RGB is used only when the manuscript is displayed on the screen. If your creation will be used for both printing and screen display, use CMYK to create a printed output file, and then run the Save As command to copy it, modify the copy to the appropriate color mode.
All right, the above information is the detailed tutorials on guides and usage tips for the Illustrator software users, you have seen the users here. I believe that you are very clear about it now. Users hope that the tutorials above will help you.
