Wireless routing is used as a wireless switch !! It's a wireless switch !!
To put it simply, set only three points:
① Network parameter → LAN port setting: Change the ip address to another network segment, and the IP address cannot conflict with the ip address of another host in the original master route or LAN.
② Network parameter → WAN port setting: change to static IP
③ Disable the DHCP service
Restart the route.
Add: Do not use the WAN port when connecting to a network cable as a route for a wireless switch. Only use the LAN port.
The existing network layout is as follows: Room A and Room B are relatively far apart, and the wireless routes in Room A are relatively old, so the signal coverage area cannot reach room B, only one twisted pair can be pulled from the LAN port of the wireless route to the switch of Room B! Surfing the internet ....
The existing network IP address is basically set on the 192.168.1.XXX segment.
Now there are several more laptops in Room B, and everyone still wants to use wireless networks to access the Internet... No way, it's hard to create any difficulties! I checked on the Internet and found out how a wireless hub would cost yuan. We can't afford it! I just want to use wireless routing as a wireless switch... after some hard work, I am now successful. I would like to share with you PS: The network is really a good teacher ):
Current Network Layout
Network layout after successful deployment:
Wireless route B is A new one. You can pull A twisted pair wire from the switch to access B's LAN port, or pull A line from the LAN port of wireless route A to B's LAN port! Wireless route B's WAN port is not needed !!
Now, the process goes through for your reference:
I bought a "TL-WR941N Wireless Broadband Router", it is said that 802.11n can achieve high bandwidth, high-quality WLAN services, so that the wireless LAN to achieve Ethernet performance level. This thing is very good, but here I have a few wireless network card TL-WN322G + seems to be unable to keep up with the times, and this route connection is not stable! Other laptops, mobile phones, HTC T2223) and other built-in wireless network cards are used very well !!
Step 1: Disable old route A because its IP address is 192.168.1.1, and the new route B conflicts )! Connect New Route B to the LAN! Follow the connection.
Step 2: Find a computer and change the IP address of the computer so that it and the Route ip address are in the same segment. Otherwise, the route cannot be accessed. The default IP address of a wireless route is 192.168.1.1. For details, refer to the description! For example
Step 3: log on to new route B, enter 192.168.1.1 in the address bar of IE, and enter the user name and password in the pop-up dialog box to log on, as shown in. TP-LINK default user name and password are admin, other can view instructions!
Step 4: Change the IP address of New Route B to another CIDR Block: 192.168.0.1 to avoid conflicts with my existing LAN. Modify the IP address in "network parameters> LAN port settings", as shown in.
After the IP address is changed, the route will restart.
At this time, modify the IP address of the computer to 192.168.0.xxxx, which must not be greater than 255 and cannot be 1), and route the IP address to a CIDR block, in the IE Address Bar, enter 192.168.0.1 ........ enter the user name and password ....
Step 5: Change "Network Parameter → WAN Port Settings" to "static IP Address", and set the IP address and gateway as shown in.
My DNS is Beijing Netcom. Check the local DNS by yourself. Ps: A friend said this port can be left empty! This is because there is no answer to anything. Try 09.4.8 on your own)
Step 6: Disable the DHCP service. For example.
Step 7: encrypt the wireless network! You don't always want anyone to come for this free lunch, for example. Select the third encryption method. You need to consider whether your wireless network card supports the encryption method ).
Step 8: restart the route.
This is done! After the route is restarted, the indicator lights on it are long on pwr power supply lights, green flashing of SYS system lights, and green flashing of WLAN wireless lights are available. Laptop, mobile phone, and other wireless tests are very good!
SYS and WLAN lights are on for a long time. It may take 7 or 8 minutes. Don't be patient if you don't know why!
- Buy a Wireless AP or a Wireless Router
- Use wireless routers to connect wired and wireless networks
