People who have used Xwin32 or xmanager should know that Xwin32 and Xmanager are separate applications, that is, they can control Linux remotely without other programs, but Xwin32 and Xmanager are not free, they are fee-based software.
Putty+xming is not the same, xming equivalent to Putty an enhanced graphics plug-in
First to handle the Ubuntu server, install Openssh-server and xbase-clients
#apt-get Install Openssh-server
#apt-get Install Xbase-clients
Let's look at XP clients here.
Download and install the Xming client

Install and boot, no configuration required
Download and install Putty
Http://the.earth.li/~sgtatham/putty/latest/x86/putty.exe
How to use
One, select the left menu session,
In the right host name, enter: remote host IP. PORT: Input ports. (default 22)
Connect Tye check ssh.
Second, select the left menu Connection->data,
On the right "Auto-login username": Enter the automatic login name.
(If not entered here, when you log on to Linux, it always wants you to enter)
Third, select the left menu connection->ssh->x11 option,
On the right side of the window, check the Enable X11 forwarding.
Note: This step is necessary if you want to use a graphical interface. Otherwise it can be omitted.
Four, select the left menu session, in the right side of the saved sessions enter the session name to keep.
Then press the Save button to save our session settings. The next time you start,
You can select our saved Sesson in saved sessions, and then click the Load button to load the saved session settings.
Five, start xming. (Is xming, not xlanuch command)
Note 1: If you want to use a graphical interface, you must first start xming. Otherwise it can be omitted.
Click the Open button to connect to the remote server.
Eject the Putty Command box and enter the user password for the Ubuntu host in the Putty Command box,
If the password is correct, you can log in to the Ubuntu host and then enter the graphical interface command in the putty.
You'll find that putty can turn on the graphics command.
