How to use the Alt shortcut key in Office2013

(1) After you start the Office application, press the "ALT" key, and the button on the Ribbon tab to quickly access the toolbar will display the action shortcut key, as shown in Figure 1.

(2) At this point, press the displayed key to open the appropriate tab, and the shortcut keys available to the buttons in the tab are displayed. For example, press the "H" key here to open the Start tab, and the shortcut keys available to the command buttons in this tab will be displayed, as shown in Figure 2. You can perform related operations by pressing the specified key, such as by pressing the "F" and "C" keys to open the text color option list, and the options in the list also provide shortcut key hints, as shown in Figure 3. Pressing the "ALT" key again will remove the shortcut key prompt.

Note: The hotkey here is context-related. For example, when you display a tab shortcut, press the "1" key to perform the first button command on the Quick Access Toolbar. However, when you press the "H" key to open the Start tab, the "1" key becomes the shortcut key for the Bold command. When you get the shortcut key for an action, you can do so by pressing "ALT" and the shortcut key.
