Tracking how protection helps protect your privacy
Tracking Protection prevents browsing information from being sent to third-party content providers that access the website. This helps keep browsing activities more private. To enable tracking protection, you need to install the tracking protection list. You can view the trace protection list as the "Do Not Call" list. Internet Explorer blocks any third-party content from sites in the list and limits the information that these third-party sites may collect about you.
To add a trail protection list
1. On the Start screen, click or click Internet Explorer to open Internet Explorer.
2. Sweep from the right edge of the screen to the center and click "set ".
(If you are using a mouse, point to the lower right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up, and then click "set ".)
3. Click "privacy", and then under "Tracking Protection", click or click "Add Tracking Protection List ".
4. Select a trail protection list from the Internet Explorer Library, click or click "add", and then click or click "add List" again to install the list.
Installing at least one trace protection list will enable trace protection. You can always access the Internet Explorer library to add more lists.
To add a trail protection list on the desktop
1. Open the desktop, and click or click the Internet Explorer icon in the taskbar.
2. Go to the Internet Explorer library and select a trail protection list to be installed.
3. Click "add", and then click "add List" again or click "add List" to install the list.
To delete or disable the trace protection list
1. Open the desktop, and click or click the Internet Explorer icon in the taskbar.
2. Click or click the tool button, and then click or click Manage Add-on ".
3. Under "add-on type", select "trace protection ".
4. Select the list to be deleted and perform one of the following operations:
O to temporarily close the list, click or click disable, and then click or close ".
O to temporarily delete a list, click or click delete, and then click or close ".
To enable or disable tracing protection
1. On the Start screen, click or click Internet Explorer to open Internet Explorer.
2. Sweep from the right edge of the screen to the center and click "set ".
(If you are using a mouse, point to the lower right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up, and then click "set ".)
3. Click "privacy" and perform one of the following operations under "tracking protection:
O enable tracking protection by switching "contents from services that may track my browsing in the blocked site" to "on. (At least one trace protection list must be installed .)
O disable tracking protection by switching "contents from services that may be tracked by my browsing" to "off.
To enable or disable tracing protection on the desktop
1. Open the desktop, and click or click the Internet Explorer icon in the taskbar.
2. Click or click "tools" to point to "security" and then perform one of the following operations:
O click or click "enable Tracking Protection ".
O click or click "disable tracking protection ".
Note:
· Enabling tracking protection helps keep your browsing activities more private, but may also limit what you can see on some sites. You can click or click the "tracking protection" icon in the address bar to select to exempt some sites from tracking protection, which allows you to see previously blocked content.
"Do Not Track" how to help protect your privacy
When Do Not Track is enabled, Internet Explorer sends Do Not Track requests to websites you visit and third parties hosting content on these websites to notify these websites that you Do Not want to be tracked.
