In the Word2013 document, the hyphenation feature includes "automatic Hyphenation" and "manual hyphenation", which allows users to set specific hyphenation positions more precisely with the help of manual hyphenation. The steps for using manual hyphenation in Word2013 are described below:
Step 1th, open the Word2013 document window and switch to the page layout ribbon. Click the hyphenation button in the Page Setup group and select the Manual command from the Open menu, as shown in Figure 2013080720.

Step 2nd, in the Open Manual Hyphenation dialog box, displays the first word that may require hyphenation, and displays all available hyphens in the hyphenation position edit box. If you use the default hyphenation position, click the Yes button, and if you want to customize the hyphenation position, click the custom location in the Hyphenation Location edit box and click Yes. All subsequent occurrences of the word repeat this action to set the hyphenation position. If the hyphenation results do not meet the requirements, click the No button to continue the hyphenation, as shown in Figure 2013080721.
