"Download Fastreport vcl Latest Version"
Each Report Designer encounters a situation where you need to schedule a control at the same level or extrude a group of elements at once. It is necessary for each member to adjust to each other. It takes time, sometimes even a lot of energy. In previous versions of Fr VCL, we provided a grid to help locate objects and lines that would help to expand the object parallel to other objects.
In Fast report VCL 6, there is another tool for locating objects--guide line. It allows you to add arbitrary vertical and horizontal lines to the grid, which helps align objects in parallel. But their main feature is that the object is attached to the boundary of the line. By moving additional lines, you can scale or move objects. So, to stretch the entire set of objects, we just need to move one line.
These guide lines are visible only in Report Designer. They can be added, deleted, moved and hidden.
To enable guides (guide line), we open the View menu and enable the appropriate options. The mandatory condition is the ruler (Rules) that is enabled:
How to move a line
To move a line, we point the mouse to it, hold down the left mouse button, and move in the desired direction. Then, release the mouse button to stop moving the line.
How to add a line
1) Double-click the ruler. to add a vertical line, double-click the upper ruler, add horizontal lines, and double-click the side ruler.
2) drag. to add a vertical line, press and hold the left mouse button on the left ruler and drag it to the report page:
To add horizontal lines to perform similar operations, we press the mouse button on the top line.
How to delete a line
1) point the mouse to the pointer on the ruler and right-click it;
2) You can drag the line out of the report page and delete it. Only when an object is connected to the line does it move to the edge of the report page along with the line. So it's best to use the first method.
How to attach a line to an object
1) Put the object on the line. place the object on one line with the left border. The left line attached to the object. Now, moving this line, we can move this object.
2) Move the line to the bounds of the object or extrude the object to a line.
To attach the second line to the right edge of an object, we can do this in two ways:
--Stretches the object so that its right line coincides with the line;
-Move the line so that it touches the right border of the object.
In both cases, the line "sticks" to the bounds of the object.
Now, holding the line, we drag it to change the width of the object.
Adds a horizontal line and places it on the top border of the object. Sometimes it's not easy to do that. This line stubbornly does not want to reach the side of the object. Then you need to enlarge the page. In addition, to more accurately manipulate the guide line, you need to include the option to align the objects on the grid (Align to Grid).
How to detach a line from an object
1) to detach a line from one or more objects, you must point the mouse to the line, hold down the CTRL key, and left-click.
2) Reconnect the line and move it to the same boundary as the previously connected object. Hold down the CTRL key again and left-click.
You can attach a line directly to a group of objects. In this case, you can move and scale the entire data group at once. The new Guides tool makes formatting reports more convenient.
