How to view PDF, Word, Excel and other format files in Gmail

Now that you won't have to download PowerPoint and TIFF files from your Gmail account, you'll see them directly in Gmail, so for now, Gmail has supported PDFs, Word, Excel, View of PowerPoint and TIFF files.

The next time you receive a PowerPoint or TIFF file, just click it to view the PowerPoint and TIFF files in the same way as you would view the PDF format.

PowerPoint players offer a number of features, including converting your PowerPoint file to PDF (just click on the Print button at the top of the browser), edit the PowerPoint file in Google Docs, and also support zooming in/ Zoom out to view PowerPoint files.

You can also view the TIFF image in a PDF or PowerPoint viewer in the same browser.

TIFF image formats, usually used to scan files and a single TIFF file can have multiple pages. Most desktop image software cannot display multiple pages of TIFF files, but using Gmail's tiffviewer will display all of your page's TIFF files. You can also convert your TIFF file to a PDF file (just click Print).

This is not a lab feature that is enabled by default in all Gmail accounts.
