the setting method of Tplink router switching working mode
TP Mini Routers offer a variety of operating modes: Router (Router), AP (wireless access point), Repeater (relay), client (clients), Bridge (bridging), suitable for use in different network environments.
Note: If it is a 3G mini router, there is also 3G mode.
Used in different network environments, mini routers may need to switch to different working modes, such as using router mode at home, and using AP mode at the hotel requires switching. The following is a description of how to switch work modes.
The shell has a hardware mode switching switch
Some mini routers have a mode hardware switch on the shell, as shown below:
When the switch dials to router, the mini router works in router mode, which is equivalent to an ordinary wireless router.
When the switch dials to the AP, the mini router works in AP mode.
AP mode includes AP (wireless access point), Repeater (relay mode), client (client mode), bridge (bridging mode) Four seed mode, factory defaults to AP (Wireless access point) mode. If you need to switch other child mode, you need to login to the router management interface, in the System Tools >> work mode, select the appropriate mode of work.
Note: If the image above is checked to allow the software to switch mode of operation, the hardware mode switch on the shell is invalid and the working mode can only be switched on the router management interface.
No mode switch on shell
There is no mode switch on the shell of some routers, only switching working mode in the router management interface. Log in to the Router management interface and select the appropriate work mode as prompted by the Setup wizard.
