How VMware virtual machines are set to boot from a USB flash drive

to reinstall the virtual machine Win7 system, want to use the way the USB stick reinstall system, you need to let the virtual machine boot from the USB stick, the following is the virtual machine from the USB flash drive the full operation process.

  Pre-Preparation:

1, U disk Startup disk

2. VMware Virtual Machines

  Specific procedures:

1. Insert the USB drive boot disk into the computer's dongle.

2. Open the VMware Virtual machine and locate the Virtual Machine tab for the Win7 system to be re-installed.

3. Select "Edit Virtual machine settings", as shown in 1:

4. In the Virtual Machine Setup screen that appears, select "Add", as shown in 2:

5. In the Add Hardware wizard screen that appears, select "Hard Disk" and click "Next", 3:

6. In the Select disk type interface, select "Recommended scsi (S)", and click "Next", 4 as shown:

7. In the Select disk interface, select "Use Physical disk (for advanced users)", and click "Next", 5 as shown:

8. In the Select Physical Disk interface, select the bottom of the device drop-down box, and then by default select "Use entire disk (E)", click "Next", 6 as shown:

9. In the specified disk file, the default, and then click "Done", 7 shows:

10. Go back to the interface shown in Figure 2 and click "OK".

11. Turn on this virtual machine and, when the interface is shown in 8, press F2 quickly to enter the virtual machine BIOS.

(PS: This interface is very short dwell time, if you feel too late to operate, you can try to set the extension of the VMware Virtual machine boot option time)

12. Enter the BIOS setup screen, select "Boot" with the ↑↓ on the keyboard, select "Hard Drive" and press ENTER to add the VMware Virtual SCSI hard Drive (0:1) that you just set in step 8 to the "+" on the keyboard. The key moves to the top, as shown in 9:

13. Press F10 to save the current option and select "Yes" to press the ENTER key. 10 is shown below:

14. Then the computer will reboot and it will enter the 11 interface:
