By simply setting the computer's hard drive locked, you can allow others to access the restricted disk. Please see the following Group Policy settings using Windows
① Click "Start → run" in the lower left corner and enter "Gpedit.msc" in the dialog box, which opens the Group Policy Settings window.
② in the Group Policy Settings window, turn on the local computer policy → user Configuration → Administrative Templates →windows component →windows Explorer option.
③ in the right setting to "prevent access to the drive from My Computer" option, click the right mouse button in the "Not Configured" status of this option, select "Properties".
④ has three options in the pop-up dialog box, "Not Configured," "Enabled," and "disabled."
⑤ Select Enabled, and then a drop-down list of selected drives appears below, and if you want to limit the use of a hard drive, hard disk partition, or even the optical drive, just select the drive. For example, to limit the use of the system disk C: Select Limit drive C only.
⑥ If you want to turn off all hard drives, optical drives, and so on, you can select "Restrict all drives" and click Apply or save settings.
⑦ then goes to "My Computer" and clicks on C or other restricted drives with a failed access prompt.
This method of setting Group Policy is highly secure, even if someone else is unable to view the files in the drive through the Explorer, the Run dialog box, the Web browser, and the dir command. In this way, users will not be afraid to discover their secrets if they put all the important files into one partition and limit them.
