Hewlett-Packard said it would add Palm's WebOS software platform to mobile devices connected to the Internet, such as printers and tablets. WebOS is built on the Linux kernel using the Palm proprietary software.

HP has provided quick start software named "QuickWeb" in its Mini netbook and Pavilion laptop. HP did not respond immediately to a comment posting request.
