Hp-ux slvm, slvm
At first, I heard the name "hp-ux slvm.
After searching, find a pdf document: <HP-UX System Administrator guide: logical volume management HP-UX 11i v3>, fourth edition in September 2009, find the slvm explanation:
The shared LVM (SLVM) allows multiple systems in the Serviceguard cluster to share (read/write) disk resources in the form of volume groups. SLVM is a dedicated distributed application that is used to access the original disk rather than through the file system. Starting from the latest version in September 2009, LVM will provide some new options in the LVM command, allowing the system administrator to remain active when the user's application and data read/write functions are still available, reconfigure the shared volume group, logical volume, and physical volume on multiple nodes in the cluster. For more information about using shared LVM, see the SLVM Online Reconfiguration White Paper. The features and options for sharing LVM are also described on the LVM command online help page.
In a word, the slvm is the lv in the mcsg concurrent volume group.
