HTML Font Size setting unit pt differs from PX
Font size of the set units, commonly used in 2 kinds: px, pt.
Basic concepts:
px:pixel, pixel, the smallest unit displayed on the screen, for web design, intuitive and convenient;
PT:Point, a standard unit of length, 1pt=1/72 inch, for printing, very simple to use;
em: that is,%, in CSS, 1em=100%, is a ratio that combines CSS inheritance relationships with flexibility.
PPI (DPI): Pixel (dot) per inch, the number of pixels (dots) per pixel, is a rate that represents "sharpness", "precision"
PX and the PT formula for conversion:
Pt=px Times 3/4.
For example: 12pxx3/4=9pt size.
PX and the em formula for conversion:
The method for PX to EM is similar, that is, em=16 times px,
That means 1.5em=1.5x16=24px.
