Huawei becomes Platinum Member of Linux Foundation

Seattle, linuxcon/containercon/cloudopen,2015 August 17 –linux Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the development of Linux and collaborative development, today announced that Huawei is officially a Platinum member of the Linux Foundation. This is the highest level of investment in the Linux Foundation, which also means that Huawei has increased its contribution to Linux, open source and collaborative development.



Huawei is a longtime supporter of open source software and collaborative development, and has previously been a gold member of the Linux Foundation. In addition to actively contributing Linux Kernel and KVM, Huawei is a founding member of various Linux Foundation collaboration projects, such as Opnfv,open Container initiative,cloud Native Computing foundation,i O Visor and Kinetic open source storage projects, as well as contributors and members of Cloudfoundry and Opendaylight. Huawei has been at the forefront of the latest open technology.

As a platinum member of the Linux Foundation, Huawei will be given a seat on the board. As you build new technologies, you help guide your organization as open source and collaborative roles grow. Other Platinum members are: Fujitsu, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Intel, NEC, Oracle, Qualcomm, Samsung.
