Hybrid cloud management platform manageiq series (II)-Environment deployment Overview

Before deploying manageiq, You need to deploy a cloud platform environment, which can be any of VMware vsphere, ovirt, Rev, or openstack, because manageiq needs to run on a cloud platform.

After the cloud platform is deployed, You need to log on to the manageiq website to download the appliance corresponding to the prepared cloud platform, and then import the appliance to the cloud platform environment as a virtual machine template, create a new Virtual Machine Based on this template. The manageiq environment has been deployed on the virtual machine, but some simple configuration is required.

Start the VM, log on to the VM using the admin user (default password smartvm), and configure the IP address (static IP is recommended) and time zone of the VM, other configurations can be configured as needed (or the default configuration can be used ). Restart the VM after the configuration is complete.

Use a web browser on any host in the network to access the IP address of manageiq (the IP address configured in the Virtual Machine), and use the admin user (default password smartvm) to log on to the web management platform of manageiq.
