Computer Science and Technology seem to be a weakness. What is missing?
What is lacking is the so-called dominant theory, or lack of attention to the dominant theory. If there is a dominant theory, it must be related to formal language, automation, and testability.
The problem is that although these theories have developed for half a century, they are not mature enough. Second, they are always isolated from the real problems on the surface.
This leads to, for example, some of the most attractive siblings in our garden think that these theories or their derivatives are useless.
My experience is the opposite: only these theories are the only foundation for most professionals to master.
What is the only solution? We don't need to worry about data structures, operating systems, or any other basic subjects.
I am skeptical about its purpose. To tell the truth, I cannot tell you for the moment, or even whether my grasp of it will be reflected in my daily work.
So I am also thinking about whether it is a dominant theory, whether it is not good enough, or whether it is not a dominant theory at all. If the problem is the latter, it is a terrible fact.
If there is no dominant theory, or the dominant theory selected in the past cannot adapt to the current situation, we will be in a bumpy and progressive period.
There are some other xuanjicang that cannot be clearly stated here.
For example, it may be that the stagnation of mathematics has created the current situation (because computer science is a derivative science after all). In addition to waiting, engineering measures are used to temporarily solve the specific problems, we have no other choice.
On the other hand, if another golden age is approaching, the computer science will move forward across the country, and then reverse all aspects of other disciplines in productivity, it seems unimaginable to see such progress.
There are a lot of things. All in all, at this stage, it is really boring for me to wait for programmers. For the vast majority of people, only technology is not scientific.
I don't know what people think. I feel more and more myself. Most of the time, there is no mystery in front of us, and there is no joy of discovery. Only the existing content is continuously reorganized.
This makes me feel confident that I am engaged in any branch of the project and gradually become a master: As long as you work hard, it is enough, but not the so-called "glory of the human mind ".
However, in the research work, it is very obvious that no matter how hard it is, it is difficult to make any real breakthrough under the framework of the old theory. All we can do is make minor improvements, and it is difficult to produce value that we are satisfied.
What should we do? Do we spend the rest of our life in fixing bugs (simply programmers) and organizing social resources?
There must be a better way out. I hope one of us can find it.
