ThunderbirdThis is a frequently used email tool. The following describes how to set Thunderbird as the default email program.
When you run Thunderbird for the first time, you will be asked if you want to set it to the default mail client. If you choose "No" for the first time and later decide to use Thunderbird as the default mail client, you can do this:
1. windows system, Mac: Go to Tools> Options... option ..., click General and select "Use Mozlla Thunderbird as the default mail application uses Mozilla Thunderbird as the default mail program ". If the mailto: link still has a problem in the Windows system, Go to Start> Settings> control panel and open "Internet Options ". On the "program" property page, select "Mozilla Thunderbird" from the drop-down list after "email ".
2. GNOME (Unix/Linux): Open the Control Panel. Go to Document Handlers | URL Handlers. Enter mailto in the text box on the left and gnome-moz-remote "% s" in the text box on the right. Then in the file ~ /. Enter the following text in gnome/gnome-moz-remote (create this file if it does not exist): [Mozilla] filename = Thunderbird installation directory absolute path/mozilla
3. KDE 3 (Unix/Linux): Open Control Center and go to Network | Email. In the Preferred Email Client, enter the absolute path of the Thunderbird installation directory/mozilla -- mail.
Through the above, I believe everyone will set Thunderbird as the default email program. I hope it will be useful to everyone.
