Google Labs always have many novel ideas. In February 23, 2006, it brought us another surprise. This time, we brought about something called GPC (Google Page Creator). Using this online webpage editing tool, we can also enjoy making web pages. What methods does Google use to interpret the idea of creating a free web page? Let's unveil the mystery of GPC and find out the truth.
GPC needs to use a Gmail account to log on, but now Gmail is everywhere. Enter http://pages.google.com in your browser to go to GPC. The first login will see a welcome page, which describes many advantages of GPC. Google indicates the service "Create your own web pages, quickly and easily." (quickly and easily Create your own webpage .) Select "I have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions" at the bottom of the Page, and click "I'm ready to create my pages" to enter the world of Google Page Creator.
After entering, we can see a page similar to Gmail, which is also a webpage editing page! I divided the entire page into five areas. Let's take a look at what functions can be achieved in each area:
① You can easily publish and manage your webpage here. After editing the webpage, click "Publish" to Publish the webpage or click "Back to Page Manager" to go to website management.
② Here is the undo/redo button.
③ The appearance and framework of the webpage can be changed here. GPC provides multiple web templates and four web frameworks to choose from.
④ You can insert images, create hyperlinks, and change the text format.
⑤ Click here to set the text style and edit the HTML source code directly.
After learning about the webpage editor operation interface, let's create a homepage!
Click the two links in Area 4 to change the webpage to your favorite style and frame.
Then you can enter text in the editing area. This editing area is WYSIWYG, just like we use FrontPage and other software to perfectly display the web page. In area 4, you can set the text size, color, and other options. In Area 5, you can set the selected text to level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 titles.
It must be hard to see all text pages. Just add a few images! In the editing area, move the cursor to the position where you want to insert an Image. Click the "Image" button in Area 4. In the displayed dialog box, you can upload your own Image or reference the Image on the network. Currently, Google provides MB of webpage space for each user, which is more than enough for general personal websites. Select an Image and click "Add Image" to Add the Image. Select the added image in the editing area. A toolbar is displayed. Here, you can adjust the image size and create a thumbnail to suit the webpage layout and easily delete the image.
