Basic state of equipment and systems
First add the configuration host, provided the fiber cable is already connected and the fibre switch is configured.
Here we use Fibre Channel
The system should be able to automatically identify the port, the host name can be set to the host model or host application name
Two ports complete
Configuring internal storage
This is where you can manually customize hot spares as hot spares first. The advantage in this configuration is that you can choose the slot of the hot spare for yourself.
RAID array configurations for internal storage can be configured automatically using system recommendations or manually as needed.
Can be seen, in order to achieve a better character, RAID5 allows a group of up to 8 disks, if set 9, it will be split into 2 RAID5 groups
Here we use 5+1,4+1 each group, with a piece of hot spare parts. It is also the recommended configuration of the system.
Make a pool of 2 groups directly.
The actual production configuration, we need to do 2 raid groups, respectively, allocated to 2 pools.
So we can't automatically complete 2 raid groups at once and need to be configured one at a time.
Build a 5+1 RAID group first
Randomly allocated 6 disks
and build a 4+1 raid group.
2 Pool Creation Complete
To create a volume on a pool, production currently requires only 2 volumes to be zoned 300g+1500g
mapping volumes to hosts
Create complete. You should be able to identify the storage disk on the host.
