4. Download the PowerISO software (make a USB boot disk)

Second, the installation process:

1. Use PowerISO to write ibmserverguide to USB flash drive, make boot disk

(1) Open the Software click Tool

The upper-right part of the midline displays information about the empty array, the number of hard disks, and the current array. In the case of array card support and sufficient number of hard disks, there are some configurable array levels at the selectraid level option. Optional Array level Description:

RAID Defaults: Configure array by default (1 HDD default configuration volume,2 block HDD default configuration raid1,3 block above HDD default configuration RAID5)

Select the appropriate configuration and click "NEXT" to continue.

The test machine was configured with a RAID1 array. If you need to preserve the original array, select the Bypassraid Configuration option in the middle and click NEXT to continue.

Click "Next" to proceed to the next page, showing that the array status is configuring (being configured):

Tip Serverguide need to restart the server to initialize the array, click "NEXT" reboot, please wait for serverguide reboot, do not do any action.

Enter the partition and file system type selection as shown, and be careful not to have less than 8G of capacity when partitioning: (at this point the value entered is the capacity of the system partition, that is, the capacity of the C drive; the remaining space appears in the system Disk Management in an unpartitioned state)

Note: By default Serverguide clears all partitions and data on the first hard disk or on the logical drive of the first array. If clear all Disksis selected, the data on the hard disk and the array is cleared. If you have important data on other hard disks, it is recommended that you back it up first.

Check that the server is configured with error, then click "NEXT":

(11), to this step array is set up. If you have an optical drive, insert the Windowssever CD into the optical drive to install WindowsServer. Since we do not have an optical drive, install WindowsServer 2008 with a USB stick. Go to this step and select Exit.

2. Install WindowsServer with USB stick

(1) using PowerISO to make a U disk boot Disk 2. Method is the same as the previous Production server guide boot disk.

(2) Install the windowsserver with a well-made starter disk. After starting the same press F12, select the USB stick to boot.

(3) After booting into the installation interface, but the system does not recognize the hard drive.

You need to change the GPT partition to MBR partition format by DOS command.

(4) When you see this interface, press SHIFT+F10 to enter the DOS interface.
