With google releasing android wear and Samsung gear, LG's G watch and moto 360, apple released apple watch, there may be another war in the smart watch industry in the future. Of course, this is my personal opinion and is for reference only.

As a developer, we are concerned about development of watches only. So let's build a development environment for android wear!

To build the android wear development environment, we need the following software: Intellij 13.1.3 and android-sdk 23.0.02.

First, download and install the android-sdk, Which is 23.0.02, and then install the following package

Note: Do not use the android wear sdk 4.4.2. It is a preview version. Now it seems that it cannot be used. I cannot connect to it on my mobile phone.

Then install IDEA. You can understand IDEA as android studio. android studio is only a part of idea functions. Then, when creating an android project, you must specify the sdk path, just specify it.

The next step is to create a new project. The new project is as follows (note: the topic must be none)

Open MainActivity. java, after android is created, IDEA will always report errors. In fact, IDEA uses gradle as the android project construction tool, while tianchao's network cannot download foreign gradle tools.

The solution is to install it manually or use a proxy server. The author uses shadowsocks as a proxy.

Run ctrl-alt-s on the proxy server and search for proxy configuration.

After the gradle tool is installed, you must add the dependent libraries required for android wear development to the gradle build file.

The next step is to create a virtual machine for android wear. Select

Open the AVD manager and create the following virtual machine:

Then run the project

Now we can see the familiar hello world, haha! Success

Finally, I did not use eclipse in this android development environment because I was unable to build it in eclipse, so I tried IDEA. Then I tried setting up the android wear environment in eclipse, I will share with you later. The next article may introduce how to connect a mobile phone to the simulator so that notifications on the mobile phone can be sent to the simulator.
