This document shows how to run the MRP on the Idempiere, according to the sales orders already entered in the system and the forecast information, the system automates the process of production planning and purchasing planning.

This process applies to the enterprise that make to order or make to stock.

If it is a make to order type of enterprise, first enter the sales order, then run the MRP, do production
If you are making to the stock type Enterprise, first enter the forecast forecast, then run the MRP, make the production

Before the presentation, the menu needs to be set up, the base menu, the less Forecast this window, but this window in the system is there, using the system user access to systems, configure the Menu interface

For example, when the Add menu is complete, the new feature menu will be at the bottom and dragged into the forecast management menu.

Once added, you can see the feature item by re-using Gardenadmin to log in.

Open forecast, you can see that the system has established multiple forecast by default

1. Establish material, BOM, and workflow information

Go to BOM of materials & Formula for BOM setup.

Another problem with the operation is that the BOM must be of type make to Order, or it would be a bit odd to have an error after the sales Order is saved.

Create a workflow and add an activity

You need to set the activity to starting node after the add is complete, you may want to reopen the page refresh

After the setup is complete, click Validate workflow to verify the operation.

After the BOM and workflow are established, you need to set up product planning data

After validation succeeds, the rest can be done. We set up two purchase orders, org fertiliser. The first week and the second week, respectively, are 200. The current date is December 4. We set up December 11 and December 18. Note The order type is standard order.

After the order is established, you need to change its status to prepare

Run the Calculate material plan for MRP operations

The result of the operation is shown (not in this case in real time), and the number of tickets generated and the number of requisitions generated will be displayed after the MRP runs.

The following distribution order should be an inter-organization transfer document, and if the production organization has no inventory, but other organizations have, it should generate distribution order from another organization.

After the MRP runs, you can log in to the Swingclient interface to view MRP info. You can see that the MRP info directly brings out the quantity information.

As you can see, the system automatically calculates the expected order date for the ticket based on the demand information of the orders. Work orders are created at the same time.

The purchase requisition (the number of second tests) is also automatically generated under MRP info.

When the MRP is in operation, it also takes into account the requirements of the material and the time of the purchase order.

Due to our purchase lead time of 0, the time and Developmet are the same, if the lead-time is set, the proposed purchase

Open one of the tickets, you can see that the status of the ticket is in Progress, still did not start manufacturing, indicating that idempiere will be in advance to create the work bills.
