When you want to install or upgrade the pre-installed Office 365 or Office 2016 on a new computer, the computer may be unresponsive, which occurs during the installation of the program.

Cause analysis:

If the installation process is not completed within four minutes.

Solution:

For one-time Microsoft Office 2016:

The computer will not respond when trying to complete the installation process for the first time.

The solution is as follows:

1. Close the process and exit all Office programs;

2. Re-open the Office program, such as Microsoft Word 2016.

After this operation, the installation process should be completed smoothly.

Procedure:

1. Exit the current Office program;

2. Download and install Office 365 again.
