Q: After my IIS server component is installed, there is no problem setting up the Web service, but when you access the specified Web site, the password prompt is displayed and a password is required. Excuse me, why is this?
A: It is a common problem to visit the site with a password prompt window. You can try from the following aspects to check.
Access to the Web page file itself has been added densely. For example, the "Default Web site" Home directory "X:\Inetpub\wwwroot" under the first file "iisstart.asp" Access requires a password.
No settings allow anonymous access. In Internet Information Server, to see if the following "Anonymous access" item is set in directory security under the site's property configuration key, and the "username" in anonymous user account in edit below is "Iusr_computer" (where " Computer in the format of the computer name, and the "Allow IIS to control password" item is also checked.
The destination directory is restricted to access rights. This entry may occur only if the directory is in an NTFS-formatted partition. Method: Right-click on it, select Properties, and then go to the security window to see if the list is the default state to allow full control of the Everyone group.
